Background
Low
Fatt Group of Companies is an integrated timber processing organization
that has been involving in the timber business for more than 30
years. Our operations are carried out in the State of Terengganu
which is abundant of natural forest resources in Malaysia. Our factory
covers 30 acres of land with work force of more than 450 workers.
Low Fatt Wood Industries Sdn Bhd is the principal downstream company
in the Group founded by Mr. Low Kian Chuan as the Managing Director.
We started downstream and tertiary processing since 1986 with the
production and export of moulding products. We ventured into the
manufacture of finished products in the mid-90's after gaining the
necessary experience and careful planning. Today, our timber products
have been successfully exported to many parts of the world.
Integrated
Activities
Our
associate company within the Group in the up and midstream operation
always gives strong support to ensure the consistent and sufficient
supply of timber for our downstream processing.
In the upstream operation, we have a fleet of vehicles, machinery
and equipment to extract to deliver the logs from sustainable managed-forests
to our factory.
Our midstream operation has a well equipped sawmill with production
capacity of 3,000 m3 of sawn timber per month. This enables
our downstream section to have an uninterrupted supply of quality
raw materials for its production requirements.
We have invested substantially in the downstream processing and
manufacture of finished products. The timber treatment and kiln
drying facilities are capable of handling 1,500 m3 of timber per
month. Plans have already been made for further extensions of the
facilities to meet future demands.
Precision machinery, automatic disc spraying system and tooling
equipment have also been install to cater for the production of
quality products. The equipment, production technology and method
are constantly improved and updated to achieve the optimum quality
and efficiency.
Research and development has also been implemented to enhance the
utilization of raw materials and product quality, and to facilitate
the design of new products for our customers.
Our integrated facilities and coordinated operation enables us to
provide good quality and prompt delivery of shipment to our valuable
customers.
